1. Human Stem Cell Culture and Organoid Differentiation Technologies
− Establish robust platforms for the stable maintenance and long-term culture of human stem cells
− Develop advanced differentiation protocols to generate physiologically relevant, human stem cell-derived organoids
2. Human Developmental and (Patho-)Physiological Modeling
− Develop in vitro model systems that faithfully recapitulate human embryonic and organ developmental processes
− Engineer advanced microphysiological systems capable of modeling both healthy and disease states with high biological fidelity
3. Genetic Engineering of Human Stem Cells and Organoids
− Develop efficient gene editing and delivery strategies tailored for human stem cells and organoids
− Apply genome engineering technologies to precisely regulate gene expression and model disease-associated genetic changes
4. Molecular Mechanism Study and Therapeutic Discovery
− Elucidate physiological and pathological molecular mechanisms using organoid-based biomimetic model systems
− Screen drug candidates and identify novel therapeutic targets for previously intractable diseases
5. Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy
− Develop next-generation cell-based therapeutics derived from human stem cells and organoids
− Advance the clinical translation of stem cell- and organoid-based therapeutic approaches
